Rising Tides is a community zine library providing accesible and free information and resources for the RI area. Our aim is to focus on media made in and by our community instead of feeding our attention and money into the pockets of for profit companies that do not contribute to our communities. Togther we can pool resources, create value, and keep people connected and informed.

A national "effort to build a community run, owned, and maintained information distribution network for the ongoing liberation movements in the U.S.". If you have friends or are moving out of our area please utilize their site to find a regional library in other states.

Zine Makers
Artists, educators, or orgainzers make a zine (mini magazine/pamphlet) covering one single topic relevant to the community. When they are done, they submit them to this library. We review them before posting them to our free digital library.

That's us! We preserve, reformat, fact-check, screen and distribute these zines to the community and to local newsies. Libraries can add a 'Pay-if-you-can' option to allow community members to cover the overhead costs of running the library and to pay the artists for their work. For now, we are only offering zines for free. A payed option (a tangible value to assign to a donation) may be added later, we'll let you know!
Access the Library!
Newsies
Take the zines from the library and download them to re-print as many times as they want. They then distrubute them to their community in whatever way makes doing so sustainable for them and beneficial for their community.
